Hi claireandjasper. Am in St. Leonards so not too far. Used to go to Fryerning college in Wadhurst but that was many moons ago! Sometimes work in the area (do freelance stable/kennel work and horse/house/dog sitting etc!) I cannot imagine how Sylvia is feeling at the moment.. just hoping that it's not what I think. Either way Kip must have been found. Will be refreshing page same as you ... ...

I don't know what to say - this is just horrendous news. Poor Sylvia and the whole local team. Just sitting here crying thinking of him having a joyful gallop down the beach as Sylvia said - now he's gone. xxxx

So sorry Sylvia. Words can not express, but there are lots of hearts that Kip has touched and brought together over the past days. Run Free at the Bridge Special boy. God gave you a special job in bringing all those hearts together. Only you and he can understand why those hearts had to be broken. Special thoughts and hugs to your Mum and everyone who had the special honour of being close to you.

for anyone who has not read the update it is available on the 'reunited' page. I have prayed and hoped for a safe return and have posted the following message to the main DL page 'Sylvia - you are a wonderful and dedicated person, the kind I do not often come across. I can only say I am gutted and heartbroken that Kip has not made it home to enjoy the many years he had ahead of him, I know they would have been full and loving for both of you. I can not for one moment understand how you feel at this time however I do want to thank you for the opportunity of meeting you and learning about Kip across the weeks, I may not have known this little man personally but he has taken a piece of my heart and I know that everyone involved will keep his spirit alive for a long time to come. I don't think there is anything anyone can or will be able to say to make this any easier but you are in my thoughts and please give Belle a big cuddle for me. I'm sooo sorry as I always thought we would find him and he would be so oblivious to all the concern he had caused! My thoughts are with you Nicola xxx'

Sadder than sad at the news - Kip really touched my heart with his brave spirit. He must have known how loved he was by his humans, and was clearly a very happy boy!
Sylvia has been so brave throughout, and my heart goes out to her and all who knew Kip.
I hope Sylvia has been heartened that so many of us "strangers" have banded together as "Team Kip" to try to help find Kip. I know I have - it restores your faith in people.
My little dog ("The Shrimp") was blind and he too was redoubtable, and also loved the beaches of Northumberland where he could run free. I hope Kip gets to meet him at the Rainbow Bridge.
RIP Kip, I won't forget you xxx Jules x
