Great help you do, Owl and Wispa. Thought about people who have helped with the search. I have 3 spaniels and a terrier, 2 are workers. As we know spaniels love to use their nose, but out on local walk today all 4 of mine failed to sniff out a cat that was sat in longish grass only 5feet away from the path. Both the none worker (gun shy rescue) and terrier hate cats with a passion, can sniff out a cat sat in next doors garden and go mad at the fence. Glad they didn't spot it. But it got me thinking how many have been out searching and thought their own dogs would have sniffed out Kip if he was hiding in undergrowth. Wish I was close enough to help more, but thinking the above mornings walk could make people aware of the need to be very thorough when out searching (Not Owl & Wispa as I'm sure, you both did a brilliant job). Not saying this hasn't been done, but this made me realize I would have probably been guilty of relying on the dogs to much if out searching. Hope no one takes offense at my post. I'm sure everyone is doing their best and keep up the good work.

Kip is neutured so this would be unlikely. Have to disagree re neutured, made little change to my ESS, Kip however may be different ... Although not a spaniel my ex's dog - GSD/Border Collie X - was neutered on the advice of the vet who said it would calm him down, but it made no difference at all, he would still go after any bitch on heat. Tbh I don't think neutering really takes away the urge, it just stops the damage being done - a bit like men having the snip really! lol

I agree with the comment regarding working dogs missing something in the grass, unless they were scenting (like Owl and Wispa), they are out for a good time normally.
Our working lab follows scents around, there's a big barley field where we walk, and we can see the heads of the deer lying up in there, but he goes all around the field, but doesn't actually flush them out (does gather up their tics though).
I too only ever browsed DogsLost if a dog near my postcode was lost, but my friend shared Kip's DL page, I logged in, and that was it for me, have tried to help where I can, from Hampshire where I live.
C'mon Kip, time to be found safe and well x

Just a thought ... and this might seem a bizarre suggestion but I have heard of it happening.
I seem to recall reading in an earlier post that Kip had a number of previous owners. Is there any chance that one of these might have 'reclaimed' him? I am sure it would have been possible to find out where he was if they really wanted to do that .. or to have got someone to do it for them.
Just a suggestion, apologies if it's just too outlandish.

Just a thought, is there anyone with the knowledge on "actual" sightings that could plot them on a map, I'm just wondering if it would form any kind of pattern .... without trying to damp anything said in your post,,,so please dont take it that way,,,x We have had no sightings of Kip since he went missing,,as sad as it is,,its like he has fallen of the edge of the world,,, Sightings give you hope and the strengh to keep going,,,he has been lost in an area that is a minefield,,bad enough for a dog that can see,,badger sets,,rabbit warrens,,the sea,,rocks,,rock pools,,,,and the added problem of dog fighting just down the road,,,now I may get shot down in flames for my post,,,but as the rescue who rehomed him,,we are worried sick ,,like us all,, again I will take this post to thank each and everyone of you for helping out to try and find this lovely lovely lad,,,,and hope we all soon and share in his return home,,, Come on Mr Kippling,,you have so many of us willing you home,,,xx

Kip was dumped in a pound down south, members of doglost helped to get him North to NESSR, so i doubt his previous owner would be bothered about claiming him back, but all thoughts are valid

Hi All - I live just across from Duridge Bay and have been helping Sylvia with the searches, mainly over the weekends and evenings as i can.
For background, I have 2 rescue labs from a rescue centre in Chorley - Ruby (5 yrs) and Benson (7 yrs). They are known as Marley and Marlene as they get up to soooo much mischief!! I can not for one moment pretend to understand how it must feel to have a missing dog however I know how much I love my 2 woofs and how lost I would be without them.
I have noticed that since the organised searches have reduced/stopped that so have the sightings of dogs that could be Kip.
I am keeping my eyes and ears open (especially during my walks with the dogs) and know that so are the people where I work (over 1000 of them!). Hoping that we get a lead or a sighting soon that gets Kip home to mammy Sylvia.
Take care Nic x

IDEA: Julie has put a Kip movie clip on the FB GROUP page, it's also on youtube - just wondering if local Post Offices/Estate agents etc would run this on their screens? Any post office workers/estate agents or anyone with a screen with exposure to the public?

Is there anyway we could get in contact with CCTV operators in the area. If they are reviewing the screens anyway, they may be willing to watch out for Kip.
I'm happy to follow this up and see what I can find out, if nobody has done it already?

I have posted this on Kips Facebook Group, nearing 2400 members, that's a lot of emails hopefully:

Hi Is anyone else having trouble viewing Kip's page from DL lost dogs? It seems to have disappeared from the list - and I had he would be in the blue - but I can't seem to find it anywhere - and this is on three different PCs/laptops. ???xx
